New York Burger Shack began serving its signature burgers to customers on Friday at its new brick-and-mortar location in Medford.
Known for its roots as a local food truck, the burger brand made its debut earlier this year just down the road at 2215 New York State Route 112.
While the truck has since rebranded as New York Taco Truck, fans can still enjoy its menu featuring seven taco varieties, including steak, chicken, birria, and veggie options. The truck also serves burritos, quesadillas, and crowd-pleasing sides like empanadas, sweet plantains, and rice and beans.
But Friday was all about the burgers.
The new Medford spot, spearheaded by partners Jason Donovan, Mike Torres, Jay Seccente, and chef Kaly Alzate, promises to bring the same mouthwatering flavors that made the food truck a local favorite. And now, the team is taking things up a notch with an expanded menu and a dine-in experience.
“We’re incredibly proud of our brand and the delicious burger items we’ve created, and we can’t wait to share them with you,” Donovan said in a recent Instagram post. “Our team, partners, family, and friends have been instrumental in making this dream a reality, and we’re grateful for their support.”
The new location offers much more than just burgers. Patrons can enjoy new menu additions, such as chicken sandwiches, fresh salads, ice cream and milkshakes available in 12 indulgent flavors.
Of course, the Shack hasn’t forgotten its classics. Favorites like the All-American Burger—featuring two beef patties, thick-cut bacon, American cheese, and a full lineup of toppings—and the Backyard Barbecue Burger, topped with cheddar cheese, caramelized onions, and the works, are here to stay.
