This year marked the fourth annual Stick it to Cancer Hockey Tournament at Patchogue-Medford High School.
This year’s tournament was played in honor of Pat-Med student Sean Dixon (pictured above), who is battling cancer. Hundreds of students and staff played for hours on Tuesday until champions were crowned. This year more than $8,000 was raised to fight cancer.
Suffolk County Legislator Rob Calarco, News 12 sports director Kevin Maher and Joe Andrush, a member of the U.S. National Ball Hockey Team, were in attendance.
Fun note: Pat-Med graduate and Toronto Blue Jays pitcher Marcus Stroman also posted a photo on Twitter of him wearing this year’s floor hockey shirt!
