Photos: Peek inside Babylon’s old Main Street cinema after demolition work

The transformation of the old three-screen movie theater on Main Street into the Argyle Theater at Babylon Village continues.

To make way for the performing arts center, lead contractor Tom Till of T&M Theatre Construction had to demolish all the walls and structures that were used since the 1980s to divvy up the huge space into three separate theaters.

Next, a four-foot deep pit will be dug for the orchestra.

Then the magic of the renovations happens.

Owners Mark Perlman and his son, Dylan, (both picture below) are looking to open the theater in time for the holidays.
