Main Street was awash in a sea of green Sunday.
Over 1,000 people attended to 58th annual John P. Reilly St. Patrick’s Day Parade in East Islip on March 5.
Families and friends stood perched atop pickup trucks, sat in lawn chairs and huddled in groups on the sidewalk drinking beer and snapping photos as the 90-minute procession passed. Chanters applauded first responders, boy and girl scouts, dance troops and other community groups marching along to the bellowing bagpipes and drumlines.
