Smith Point Light Show

“Grandma Got Run Over By A Reindeer” played through radios tuned into the Smith Point Light Show on Saturday, as children popped out of sunroofs to get full views of the bright, colorful displays. Even deer came out to see the show, with some walking up to car windows.

Organized by the Girl Scouts of Suffolk County, the drive-through show is open until Dec. 30 at Smith Point County Park, and all proceeds support programs for girls and families in Suffolk County.

Drivers are encouraged to turn off their lights or dim them to enjoy the experience. Guests are also asked to stay in their vehicles at all times throughout the show.

Tickets are $20 per car, and guests can also stop by the Mister Softee truck on the weekends before going into the show.

The light show is closed, Monday, Dec. 9, due to inclement weather. But take a look at some photos below for a peek at what you can experience when the weather clears up.
