Santa made his way back to the Patchogue River for its annual Holiday Boat Parade.
The event, run by the Greater Patchogue Chamber of Commerce and the Patchogue Riverfront Committee, returned this weekend for the 27th annual parade.
The parade had been cancelled in year’s prior due to the pandemic.
This year’s theme was “A Christmas Movie,” allowing visitors to see some their favorite holiday movies transformed into lighted boat parade floats.
About 25 boats participated this year, with the best ones winning awards.
Among the best spots to the watch boats sail in from the Great South Bay were at Sandspit Marina at the Davis Park Ferry Terminal and the Fire Island National Seashore Watch Hill Ferry Terminal, as well as all the waterfront restaurants — Off Key Tikki, Harbor Crab Co., The Oar Steak & Seafood Grille and Drift 82.
Benny Migliorino of Benny Migs Photo and the chamber was on scene to take photos and video from the outing. See them below.
