The community took advantage of the sunny weather today for William Floyd Elementary’s 14th annual Harvest Festival on the school’s front lawn.
The event was organized by the school’s parent-teacher organization.
There was family-friendly music, as well as treats such as popcorn, cotton candy and ice cream.
Those who bought $10 bracelets were able to play games, decorate pumpkins, get their faces painted and receive glitter tattoos.
The Mastic-Moriches-Shirley Community Library set up a scarecrow-stuffing booth. Children could also stop by Kim’s Cookies booth to buy paintable cookies.
Additionally, there were a variety of clothing, jewelry, and professional service and craft vendors, while CVS hosted a booth offering parents free flu shots.
