Local news alert: Port Jefferson’s Harborfront Park will be closed to the public for the rest of 2023, not opening again until Jan. 1, village officials have announced.
Work on replacing the park’s walkways started Oct. 27.
“For safety reasons, we ask that the public not visit the park during the ongoing construction,” officials said. “Thank you for your patience while we build a beautified, more accessible and safer Harborfront Park for all our residents and visitors.”
Locals can follow the the village’s website and Facebook for updates on the work.
