Music star Post Malone is coming to Long Island for a special performance to support veterans.
On Wednesday, it was announced that the Grammy-nominated singer-rapper will be joining an impressive lineup for VetsAid, a benefit concert where all net proceeds go to charities serving veterans. Joining him on stage will be Eric Church, Toto, Kool & The Gang, and event host Joe Walsh.
The concert is set for Veterans Day, Nov. 11, at UBS Arena in Belmont Park.
Walsh, a multi-Grammy winner and Gold Star son, started VetsAid eight years ago with its inaugural show at EagleBank Arena in Fairfax, Va. Since then, the event has raised $3.5 million for nonprofit organizations aiding veterans.
“VetsAid is for everyone: fans of all ages, backgrounds and musical genres,” Walsh said in the announcement. “So who better to join the party than Posty – the man who can do it all? And do it so well?! Mix in the best of country with Eric, rock with Toto and funk with Kool and The Gang and you have a VetsAid for the ages. What better way to honor our veterans and their families this Veterans Day than with a night you will never forget?”
This will be Post Malone’s third Long Island appearance in two months. His “F-1 Trillion” tour stopped at Jones Beach Theater on Sept. 29. See a clip from his performance here. He also won five MTV Music Awards at this year’s show, which was hosted at UBS Arena Sept 11.
Along with the Post Malone announcement, Walsh also revealed this year’s grant recipients, all based in New York or New Jersey. The full list is below:
- LARGE GRANT RECIPIENTS: Travis Manion Foundation, Fourblock, Hire Heroes Foundation, America’s VetDogs, Vets4Warriors, Our Military Kids, Foundation for Women Warriors, HunterSeven Foundation, Merging Vets & Players
