Raising Cane’s readies for Penn Station opening this spring

|

Penn Station is about to get tastier.

Raising Cane’s is set to open its next location in NYC inside the newly renovated station that is traversed by millions of New Yorkers.

A spokesperson informed GLI that the Raising Cane’s plans to open next month at 1 Penn Plaza Suite 134.

Cane’s will be joining the long list of restaurants that signed on to be part of the refreshed station. Click here for a breakdown of what’s open now and what’s coming soon, sorted by locations within the Penn District.

Raising Cane’s founder and CEO Todd Graves told Greater Long Island last summer the company is looking to open hundreds of new locations in New York, especially in the Tri-State area.

The fast-growing company opened what it calls its flagship store in Times Square in June, and has continued to open locations in the city since. A new Flushing, Queens, location is expected to open this July, as per a representative from Raising Cane’s.

Four Long Island stores are on pace to open next year, one in Hauppauge, Commack, East Meadow and Carle Place.

Founded by Graves in 1996 at Louisiana State University, Raising Cane’s — known for chicken finger meals, Texas toast and secret Cane’s sauce — has ballooned to well over 700 spots across the U.S. as well as Bahrain, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, according to its website.
