Roast Sandwich House is heading further east.
The fast-casual eatery, known for its house-roasted meats and artisanal ingredients with six other locations throughout Suffolk and Nassau, will soon be opening up its seventh spot in Hauppauge.
“This location is in the heart of Hauppauge, on a busy highway, right by a large business park, schools, and residential living,” said Roast owner and founder, Joseph Cordaro. “We’re excited to expand further east, reach new customers & share our passion for fresh, delicious food.
Roast takes over the space previously home of Capriotti’s Sandwich Shop in the Hauppauge Shopping Center.
Roast opened its first location in Melville back in 2011, before its second store opened five years later in Hicksville. Since then, spots in Mineola, Syosset, Bellmore and Bellmore have followed.
The Hauppuage location is expected to open early in 2026, “within the next few months,” said Samantha Derner, marketing manager for Roast.
Owner Joseph Cordaro says the chain prides itself on using antibiotic-free poultry, Certified Angus Beef, fresh produce, and housemade condiments. The menu features signature sandwiches, salads, soups and sides, all made to order.
“We wanted to take the same principles you’d find in fine dining — using high-quality ingredients, making everything from scratch — and put it in a more casual setting,” Cordaro previously told GLI.
The menu at the new Hauppuage location will be exactly the same as the other six restaurants.
