Sayville Plaza gets Christmas Tree Shops, Harbor Freight and Boot Barn; now 100% leased

|

Sayville Plaza in Bohemia continues its massive comeback in 2022, with the revelation that three new retail stores are moving into the Sunrise Highway shopping area.

Breslin Realty, the manager of the property, has announced that Christmas Tree Shops, Harbor Freight tool store and Boot Barn (the first ever in New York state) are all set to open locations inside the plaza. They join recently opened Aldi supermarket and the home decor store At Home in fueling the resurgence of the shopping center.

Once largely vacant after the exit of Kmart in January 2020, the shopping center — between the new businesses already in operation and the stores about to move in — is now listed as “100 percent leased” on Breslin Realty’s website.

Kmart, Pier 1 Imports, Office Max, Borders Bookstore, Sports Authority, Modell’s and Babies “R” Us all once thrived in the shopping center, but due to bankruptcies or mergers, all had shut down operations by early 2020, leaving behind a shopping center marred by cavernous, empty storefronts.

Now, Aldi and Floor & Decor occupy the large space once held by Kmart and at home® operates where Borders. A JOANN Fabrics and Crafts is slated for the storefront that used to belong to Sports Authority.

Furthermore, Breslin Realty announced earlier this month that F45 Training will open a fitness center at the east end of the plaza. A Chick-fil-A and a Taco Bell have also been proposed for the property. Additionally, longstanding tenant Bed Bath & Beyond have a renewed longterm lease.
