A whopping 34 members of Sayville High School’s graduating Class of 2023 have committed to playing college sports. It amounts to about 10 percent of the graduating class.
The student-athletes include seven graduating seniors from the football team, five baseball players and a combined eight women’s and men’s lacrosse players. The seniors, who officially graduate later this month, gathered for a ceremony in the high school gymnasium, where Athletic Director Ryan Cox congratulated the group for their accomplishments.
