Scott’s Pointe in Calverton just dropped its newest attraction — a massive go-kart track with 22 turns and karts that zoom past 20 mph.
And for serious speed demons, faster 40+ mph karts are coming soon.
“We just opened June 21 and already people are loving it,” said co-owner Cody Scott.
The new outdoor track is the latest addition to the ever-expanding adventure park on Middle Country Road, which now offers everything from water obstacles to laser tag to axe throwing.
And if you’re a competitive racer with your own gear?
You can bring your Briggs 206 kart to the park on Thursday nights or Sunday mornings for four hours of track time.
“We’ve got a Bring Your Own Kart night going now,” Scott said. “Guys who competitively race can just show up and drive.”
Summer deal for families

To celebrate the new go-kart track, Scott’s Pointe launched a weekday summer pass to keep kids (and parents) moving through Labor Day.
The special includes:
- Unlimited access to the Aqua Park
- All-day admission to most indoor attractions
- Three go-kart races (normally $75 by themselves)
“We don’t normally offer an all-day pass like this,” Scott told Greater Long Island. “It’s everything, bundled.”
The deal runs Monday through Friday.
Wasn’t the plan

When Eric Scott, Cody’s dad and business partner, first bought the Calverton property, he didn’t plan on building an entertainment complex.
He just wanted a place for a private jet ski club, like the one he and his buddies started back in the early ’90s in Quogue.
“It was supposed to be a hole in the ground filled with water, a dirt parking lot, and a little concession stand,” said Cody Scott.
But indoor surfing was on the rise — and Cody had another idea.
“I said, ‘Why don’t we put a surf pool in here?’” he recalled.
Since then, Scott’s Pointe has evolved into a full-blown indoor-outdoor playground for all ages.
You’ll find:
- Golf simulators and axe throwing
- An arcade, laser tag, rock-climbing walls
- A ninja warrior-style course
- Two full-service bars and the Lake View Grill
- A massive Aqua Park on a man-made lake with 2.2 acres of floating obstacles
And there’s even more on the way.
“We’re always thinking about what’s next,” Scott said.
Why they built it
Scott’s Pointe is about getting people off their phones and into real-life fun, Cody Scott said. Whether it’s splashing in the Aqua Park or racing your friends on the track, the idea is to connect — and compete — together.
“We’re active people and we like to be moving and having fun,” Scott said. “We wanted to give everybody else the opportunity to experience that without having to travel.”
Because while Long Island has beaches, the aquarium, and Adventureland, it never had this.
“It brings something to Long Island that Long Islanders have been missing out on forever,” he said.
