Get ready, movie-lovers — South Bay Cinemas is finally making its triumphant return.
The independent theater, located at 495 W. Montauk Highway in West Babylon, has been closed for renovations since 2016, but now the wait is almost over.
According to Jerry Hogan, who is affiliated with the theater, South Bay Cinemas plans to reopen its doors this spring. In a response to a comment asking about the grand opening date, Hogan wrote “About four weeks” on Monday.
Hogan recently shared some sneak-peek photos on his Facebook page, revealing the impressive progress of the remodel. Scroll down to see the photos.
The revamped South Bay Cinemas will feature five screens, each with luxury recliner seating. The theater is getting a brand-new interior and an expanded selection of food and drink options that includes beer and wine.
