Snowfall measures 8.1 inches in Commack, highest on LI

Commack registered the highest snowfall amount on Long Island following the recent snowstorm.

Local measurements saw an area of Commack seeing 8.1 inches early Thursday, according to the National Weather Service.

Nearby hamlets East Northport, Nesconset and Miller Place all recorded 8 inches of snow.

The highest snowfall amounts in Nassau County were measured in Syosset (8), East Searingtown (7.6) and West Hempstead (7.5).
