The Nesconset Chamber of Commerce is bringing one of the community’s biggest celebrations back to Smithtown Boulevard this summer.
The annual Nesconset Day Street Fair returns on Sunday, Aug. 30, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., filling the street and surrounding park with more than 200 craft vendors, local businesses, live entertainment, family activities and a wide variety of food.
Visitors can browse handmade goods, shop from local vendors and enjoy offerings from some of Long Island’s favorite food trucks. Craft beer and featured spirits will also be available throughout the day.
The event features activities for all ages, including a petting zoo, mechanical bull, bounce houses, face and body painting, a slime station, photo booth, hair braiding, hair tinsel, permanent jewelry and more.
Entertainment will include performances by local dance schools, music from a live DJ throughout the day and a featured performance by the all-female rock band Broken Nails.
Guests can also take part in the annual community blood drive, giving attendees an opportunity to help save lives while enjoying the festivities.
This year’s event will also celebrate America’s 250th birthday. Attendees are encouraged to wear red, white and blue or dress as their favorite patriotic or historical figure as the community marks the milestone together.
The event runs from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 30, along Smithtown Boulevard in Nesconset. Click here for more information.
