Moms and their little boos are invited to dress up and spend a Halloween afternoon together in Bay Shore later this month.
Beyond Motherhood will host its “Little Boo & Mama” event Saturday, Oct. 24, from 2 to 4 p.m., bringing together Halloween activities, food, photos and local vendors for moms and their young children.
The afternoon will include a Halloween mini photo shoot by Dalia & Light Photography, paint-your-own pumpkins, cider slushies, Halloween cookies and pizza from The Pizzeria.
Families can also make their own squishies, shop from local fall vendors and enter a raffle featuring prizes from Coastal Kitchen & Daiquiri Bar and Fire Island Vines. Costumes are highly encouraged.
The event is being held at Beyond Motherhood, a South Shore organization that provides peer support and community for women navigating postpartum depression, the baby blues and other emotional challenges that can come with new motherhood.
Beyond Motherhood offers peer-led support groups along with programs including postpartum and prenatal Pilates, Mommy & Me Pilates, family yoga, baby and toddler music, lactation support and educational programs. On-site child watch is also available for many of its programs.
Tickets for Little Boo & Mama are $40 for one adult and one child, with additional siblings $10 each. Space is limited.
