Arts Festival by the Bay returns to downtown Bay Shore on Sunday, June 8.
To the uninitiated, this is a big day for downtown Bay Shore, perhaps the biggest (alongside the St. Pat’s Parade).
The festival will run from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., transforming Main Street from Shore Lane to Smith Avenue into a vibrant celebration of local art, music and community spirit.
“The Arts Festival by the Bay is more than just an event; it’s a vibrant reflection of Bay Shore’s creative soul and community pride,” said Edward Fraser, the chamber’s president, as well as deputy commissioner of the Bay Shore BID.
“For 22 years, this festival has brought together artists, families, neighbors, and visitors to celebrate what makes our downtown truly special. Events like this not only boost local businesses and tourism but also strengthen the fabric of our community.
“We are proud to support and grow this beloved tradition that showcases the best of Bay Shore.”
Attendees can expect a diverse array of artisan vendors showcasing handcrafted goods, live art demonstrations, and performances from local musicians and school ensembles at the Bay Shore Community Band Shell.
Family-friendly activities include a petting zoo, pony rides and much more.
Main Street in Bay Shore will be closed to vehicular traffic starting at 8 a.m. to accommodate the festivities.
