Suffolk duo splits prize on $1 million scratch-off bought in E. Patchogue

A Bayport man and a Lindenhurst man split a $1 million prize on a New York Lottery scratch-off card they purchased at a mini-mart in East Patchogue.

Murat Dindar of Bayport and Sergen Kup of Lindenhurst claimed the big win on the VIP Millions scratch-off game, New York Lottery announced on Monday. The duo bought the winning card at New York HUSCO Mini Mart, located at 700 South Country Road.

Dindar and Kup each took home a one-time lump sum payment of $325,000, after required tax withholdings.

Long Island man wins $1 million with lottery scratch-off card

As of Monday, 19 $1 million prizes and three $5 million prizes remain on the VIP Millions game. Players can check the status of any New York Lottery scratch-off game by downloading the Game Report at nylottery.ny.gov.
