Nicole Gonzalez gave birth to her baby girl early this morning, but not in the way she had expected.
Two Suffolk County Police officers, Danielle Congedo and Daniel Rosado, responded to a 911 call at around 7:20 a.m. reporting a woman in labor in a vehicle parked at 166 Hospital Road in East Patchogue.
According to the police report, when the officers arrived, Gonzalez, 27, of East Patchogue was in the front passenger seat of the vehicle about to give birth.
The police report states that Officer Congedo delivered the baby with the assistance of Officer Rosado.
Gonzalez and her daughter were transported to South Shore University Hospital in Bay Shore in “good condition.”
