Forecasters are predicting a snowy Superbowl Sunday on Long Island.
The National Weather Service has issued a winter storm warning, which will go into effect tomorrow from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Parts of the island are expected to see between 6 to 9 inches of snow accumulation — this is the second big storm in less than a week after a blizzard dumped more than 18 inches of snow on parts of Long Island.
Expect a slushy morning, with a mix of rain and snow expected before 9 a.m. on Long Island, the NWS is reporting.
After that, “snowfall rates 1 to 2 inches per hour are expected for a period during the late morning and early afternoon,” reads the storm warning by the NWS.
Below is the expected snowfall in parts of Nassau and Suffolk counties.
