The 495 Podcast: From Mt. Sinai to the World Series with Dana Cavalea

|

Growing up, Mount Sinai’s Dana Cavalea vividly remembered sitting in traffic with his dad as he headed to Yankees Stadium to watch a game in the nosebleeds.

At that time, he never expected his life would land him in the pinstripes himself as the team’s strength and condition coach winning the 2009 World Series.

Last month, Cavalea joined Greater Long Island’s Michael White and Nicholas Esposito on The 495 Podcast to talk about his journey.

“I wasn’t good enough to get to the pros by the standards of Major League Baseball, but I found another way to get there,” Cavalea said on the podcast.

He goes on to talk about how he right spot at the right time in landing his dream job to his latest ventures as an author, motivational speaker, and life coach.

Cavalea also discusses his best-selling book is “Habits of a Champion: Nobody Becomes a Champion By Accident.”

“I wanted to create a handbook that could be referenced as you go through the emotional journey called life,” he said. “Whether as an athlete, coach, or buisness person.”

The show was recorded at The Steam Room in Port Jefferson. Listen to the episode below.
