The Bean of Patchogue readies for launch on West Main Street

|

The Bean of Patchogue is a couple weeks away from swinging open its door to West Main Street.

The coffeehouse has been nearly 10 months in the making.

In the run-up to the mid-June opening, the partners hosted a friends and family unveiling party Thursday night at the shop (photos below).

“It’s a taste of what’s going to be coming … we have coffee, desserts, tea, we’ll be serving acai bowls, ” said co-owner Rob Cutrone, 25, of West Islip.

“I can’t believe how good it looks,” he added when asked about the transformation from the old Queen City Cupcakes. “Even though I designed it myself, I just cannot believe it looks this good. It’s way better than I could have imagined.”

62 West Main Street in Patchogue is the third location for the growing chain of Bean coffeehouses, with the other two located in Babylon and Bay Shore.

The Bean of Patchogue sports a rustic-yet-modern look with an open design and an emphasis on communal gatherings, whether it’s larger groups of 10 to 12 or cliques heading into watch live music Thursdays through Saturdays.

“Some of the best talent on Long Island is going to come through here,” added Cutrone, whose prior business was in music. “We’re going to have so much going on. It’s going to be a great place to work, to meet with friends and to catch up.”

Open mic night will be on Wednesdays. “We want to give people a space to express themselves,” Cutrone said.

The partners are also applying for a liquor license.

“I see it being one of the best coffeehouse on the island,” Cutrone said.
