The Pizzeria launches in downtown Lindenhurst

Lindenhurst Village has a shiny new pizzeria to call its own.

The Pizzeria, the rapidly growing pizza company on Long Island, opened its latest location at 177 S. Wellwood Ave. on Tuesday.

The opening was a smashing success, the owners said.

“We were overwhelmed with the support of the Village of Lindenhurst,” said The Pizzeria co-owner Cliff Weinstein. “They welcomed us with open arms and we are very excited to be part of this community for many years to come. It was also amazing to see customers from other locations showing their support on opening night.”

The Pizzeria turned an old cellphone shop into a 30-seat restaurant featuring a full bar and food menu that spans from different pizza options to popular Italian dinners. Scroll down for photos of the space.

This is the company’s fifth location, with another one in the works for Babylon Village later this year.

The Pizzeria, founded in 2020 by Weinstein and brothers Paul and Dan Saccoccio, has other stores in Lake Grove (Smith Haven Mall), Bayport, Islip and Bay Shore.
