‘Bedtime Stories’ (2008)
Worldwide earnings: $221 million

Starring Sandler, Keri Russell and Russell Brand, this fantasy comedy involves Sandler’s Skeeter Bronson telling a cynical bedtime story to his sister’s kids, and then navigating the challenges that come about when the same story plays out in real life. It was nominated for two Blimp Awards — Best Movie and Best Movie Actor (Adam Sandler).

‘Just Go With It’ (2011)
Worldwide earnings: $215 million

It was hard to go wrong at the box office with a breakout performance from Brooklyn Decker and the screen presence of Jennifer Aniston in her prime. Sandler earned the Razzy’s Worst Actor award, but he and Aniston together won the Teen Choice: Chemistry award at Fox’s 2011 Teen Choice Awards.

Worldwide earnings: $196 million

The star-studded cast is led by Jack Nicholson and Sandler, and amply supplemented by Marisa Tomei, Woody Harrelson, John Turtorro and John C. Reilly. There’s also cameo appearances from anger experts John McEnroe and Bobby Knight, along with Derek Jeter.
