Wegmans in Lake Grove and Jack’s Spot Deli & Lotto in Shirley each sold a third-prize winner in the Aug. 3 drawing
Two Long Island stores sold Powerball tickets worth $100,000 apiece in Monday’s drawing, the New York Lottery announced.
The winning tickets were sold at Wegmans, 3270 Middle Country Road in Lake Grove, and JackSpot Deli & Lotto, 534 William Floyd Pkwy. in Shirley. Both tickets matched enough numbers to win the game’s third-tier prize and used the Power Play option, which boosted the payout up to 10 times.
A third $100,000 New York winner was sold in Syracuse.
The winning numbers in Monday’s Powerball drawing were 8, 30, 41, 48 and 54; the red Power Ball was 4.
Powerball numbers are drawn from a field of 1 to 69, with the red Power Ball itself drawn separately from a field of 1 to 26. Add-on Power Play multiplies non-jackpot prizes by as much as 10 times.
Drawings are held every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday at 10:59 p.m.
