Update: Suffolk County Police located the body of a Centereach man who went missing from Venetian Shores Park on Sunday, July 7.

Thomas Kelsey,45, was found deceased in a vehicle in West Islip this Thursday after a passerby noticed a vehicle in a ravine off Route 231. According to police, detectives believe he was driving his 2015 GMC Yukon northbound when his SUV left the roadway, crossed over a grass median and crashed into the West Islip woods.

He was pronounced dead on the scene.

‘The cause of his death is not believed to be criminal at this time.

Suffolk County Police Sixth Squad detectives are seeking the public’s help to locate a Centereach man who went missing on Sunday.

Suffolk Police are seeking the public’s help in finding a 45-year-old Centereach man who went missing from Venetian Shores Park on Sunday.

Thomas Kelsey was last seen at the Lindenhurst bayside venue, located at 850 Venetian Boulevard, on Sunday, July 7 around 10 p.m.

According to police, he was driving his red 2015 GMC Yukon with a New York license plate reading EYE 9312. He was wearing brown shoes, plaid shorts, and a t-shirt.

Detectives are asking anyone with information to call the Sixth Squad at 631-854-8652 or 911.
