What you need to know about the Babylon holiday boat parade

|

The Babylon Cove Light Parade is back to spread some holiday cheer and raise money for a great cause.

Tomorrow (Saturday, Nov. 27) at sunset around 4:45 p.m., decorated boats will take a final lap together to ring in the holiday season before pulling their boats for the winter.

The plan is to make a big circle in the Babylon Cove, passing by the Babylon Village Dock, the Babylon Village Pool, the Babylon Yacht Club, and then repeat the route.

Boaters are encouraged to pass by the Babylon Beach House assisted living facility too.

Onlookers and participants can warm up with some hot chocolate at the main dock.

This is the third year of the event.

This year, organizers are collecting donations to benefit Building Homes for Heroes, a foundation that places injured veterans into homes of their own.

$873 have been raised so far, to donate click here.
