Wet weather didn’t dampen spirits of students, teachers and staff locally on the first day of school this week at Lindenhurst and Copiague school districts.
Thousands of students in the school districts kicked off the 2022-2023 school year on Sept. 6, many waiting for their buses and arriving to their buildings under steady rainfall. Despite the soggy conditions, students from kindergarten to 12th grade were all smiles as they entered school.
Check out some images of Copiague and Lindenhurst students arriving back to school on Tuesday. The photos were provided by the two school districts. The first batch are from Copiague, followed by a grouping of photos from Lindenhurst schools.
