Robert F. Kennedy’s Jr.’s independent run at the office of U.S. President is taking him to Long Island.

The environmental lawyer and son of slain U.S. Senator Robert F. Kennedy has scheduled a campaign stop in Holbrook on Sunday, April 28.

What’s being billed as a “voter rally” runs from 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. outside Villa Lombardi’s on Main Street, according to a Kennedy campaign announcement. (Note: time change above, with update.)

“Kennedy will discuss his plans to restore the middle class, unravel corporate capture of our government agencies, unwind the war machine, end the chronic disease epidemic, reduce the national debt, make homes affordable again, and protect our constitutional rights,” the announcement reads.

The rally will also be live-streamed on Kennedy’s YouTube channel.

The petition drive to get Kennedy on the ballot in New York begins April 16.

The campaign has vowed to collect more than 45,000 valid signatures during a six-week window.

“We have the field teams, volunteers, legal teams, paid circulators, supporters, and strategists ready to get the job done,” said Stefanie Spear, campaign press secretary. “We are exceeding all our benchmarks and will be announcing new states each week.”

Last month, Kennedy announced that attorney and tech entrepreneur Nicole Shanahan as his vice presidential running mate.

As for his Long Island rally, no prepared statements were available to the press.

A campaign member told us Kennedy typically speaks at such events without a script or teleprompter, but “will likely discuss how important New York State is to the campaign’s ongoing ballot access efforts.”

The campaign urges supporters to arrive closer to 1:30 p.m. for priority seating.
