Local Burger announces it’s staying open late for weekends in Patchogue

|

The new Local Burger Co. location on Patchogue’s West Main Street has just announced its staying open late on weekends.

The first “Munchies Menu” will be served up on Thursday, Dec. 20, after the Alive After Five Winter Wonderland, when Local Burger will be serving until 2 a.m. The late-night hours happen again Friday and Saturday, then every Friday and Saturday to follow.

“We’re looking to draw in all those people who are looking to get something to eat late night,” said Mike McElwee, one of the Local Burger owners. “Maybe those people who just watched a show at 89 North or Stereo Garden and don’t want to go right home.”

The menu will be somewhat limited but there will be plenty of burgers, sides and milkshakes to choose from, as well as hot dogs, chicken tenders and chicken sandwiches.

Local Burger announced the new hours on Instagram.

There’s also drinks available. “It’s not going to be a nightclub. No cover. Not shots,” McElwee said. “But full liquor, cocktails, food and drinks. Either for those on their way home, or just looking for a quieter place to sit, eat and have a drink.”

Previously, Local Burger would close around 11 p.m. on weekends.
