Bay Shore then and now, from the train station to the waterfront

|

Here is the latest collection of Bay Shore then-and-now images we put together with help from the Bay Shore Historical Society.

The older shots are of photographs and postcards from the historical society’s extensive collection. The present-day photos were taken by GreaterBayShore.

The Bay Shore Historical Society is located at 22 Maple Avenue. It’s open to visitors every Tuesday and Saturday, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Click here to email the society.

This postcard image depicts downtown Bay Shore in the 1950s.
The present-day photo was shot from outside Frank & Maria’s Italian Pork Store.
