Big bowling tourney comes to Patchogue’s Bowl L.I. on Sunday

The Long Island Generations Bowling Tour heads to Patchogue’s Bowl Long Island on Sunday, March 4.

The tourney is open to all amateur bowlers and the winner get $1,000. Over 500 bowlers are expected to compete for $5,000 in total prize money, according to the organizers.

The Long Island Generations Bowling Tour is among the largest amateur bowling clubs in the U.S. with over 3,000 members. The Patchogue tournament is one of 40 planned for 2018.

Several Patchogue bowlers have been crowned Bowling League tournament champs.

Potential bowlers must average 140 to 240 and the entry fee is $70, and $60 for those reentering.

Those looking to compete can register online at www.ligbtour.com or register the day-of.

There are 2 squads: 1 p.m. and 3 p.m.

Spectators are welcome and there is no admission fee to watch.
