Just Salad has opened its 10th Long Island location, bringing a new fast-casual healthy dining option to North Babylon.
The restaurant recently debuted at Sunset Plaza shopping center, located at 1138 Deer Park Ave., Unit 26, in a 2,275-square-foot space.
“We have people who know the brand from New York City, maybe they work in the city. And now they love seeing it here on the island, giving them a healthy option,” said Just Salad chief marketing officer Jen Lally, a Long Island native.
Lally said the company’s Long Island expansion continues to grow, with another location planned for Lake Grove.
The chain offers chef-designed salads, wraps, warm bowls, market plates and smoothies, with an emphasis on fresh ingredients and in-house preparation.
“We make all our dressings in the store. Produce is prepped daily, and proteins are cooked multiple times a day,” Lally said.
The North Babylon location held a soft opening on May 8, with grand opening promotions planned later this month.
On May 27, the restaurant will host a Giveback Day, donating $1 from every in-store purchase to the Seatuck Environmental Association, a nonprofit focused on protecting Long Island wildlife and habitats.
“As a Long Islander, anything that’s related to helping our shores is exciting to me,” Lally said.
The grand opening celebration will continue May 28-29, with $5 salads, wraps, warm bowls and market plates available from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. and again from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.
The restaurant is open daily from 10:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. and offers indoor seating for 26 guests, along with takeout and delivery options.
