Port Jefferson’s longtime gift shop and spiritual and emotional healing center, Breathe, has opened a new location in Bay Shore.
“I was looking for another community-based environment,” Breathe’s owner Jena Turner told GreaterPortJeff.
After visiting different properties in Patchogue and Babylon, she said the perfect place for her was in Bay Shore.
“People are so excited about Bay Shore,” she said. “The people are so invested in their town.”
Turner, who opened the new location with her daughter, launched at 135 East Main Street on Sept. 1.
“We called the landlord, he was nice, and the space was beautiful,” said Turner.
Like its Port Jefferson location, Breathe will sell similar products in its Bay Shore spot like its art supplies, jewelry, crystals, candles, lotions, and more.
However, there will be more of a focus on bringing in more local designers and creators.
“[In Bay Shore] we will have more Long Island artisans,” said Turner, who lives in Centereach. “We are going to sell Birch and Main candles and jewlery from Susan Rodgers Designs, among others.”
Breathe in Bay Shore– like Port Jefferson– offers classes for meditation, Tarot readings, writing workshops, Rieki, and yoga (click here for a the schedule.)
“It is a feel-good store you can find peace and find stuff natural from the Earth,” Turner described of her stores.
