The Shoppes at New Village is getting an anchor tenant for its westernmost storefronts in Patchogue Village with the addition of The Cuban Restaurant on West Main Street.
The restaurant has signed a lease for over 5,000 square feet of retail space at the corner of West Main and Havens Avenue, where a boutique and bakery café are also planned.
The Cuban has a spot in Garden City, where it prides itself on authentic Cuban cuisine and live entertainment.

“Good Food, Exotic Drinks and Great Music are the hallmarks of The Cuban Restaurant in Garden City,” reads a New Village announcement. “The Cuban combines the best in traditional Cuban cuisine with today’s taste sensibilities. Their menu items are familiar but never mundane.
“Those who enjoy Cuban cuisine on a regular basis will see recipes they love but there will always be something new for them to try. Exotic drinks are also their specialty. The drink selection is designed for making that night out with friends a memorable one. The owners goal is to make The Cuban and its recipes a unique addition to the Patchogue dining experience.”
The $110 million, 291-residential unit complex opened in 2014. New Village also offers 46,100-square-feet of restaurant and retail space on its ground floor.
Schuckman Realty represented New Village and TRITEC in the transaction with The Cuban.
TRITEC’s chief operating officer, Rob Loscalzo, recently told GreaterPatchogue that 70 percent of New Village’s 46,100 square feet of retail and restaurant space is now spoken for.
“We have a lot more stores coming,” he had said. “We only have a few spaces left and have gotten a lot of bites on the remaining units.”
“We’ve been kind of choosey as to who we want,” he continued, “We want to make sure they’re set up for success. We work a lot with [the businesses owners] to make sure they have their business plans in place, and when they’re open they’re ready.”
