The Long Island Family Festival at Tanner Park won’t be happening this year, event organizers announced.
For the uninitiated, the free festival in Copiague is multi-day and typically features live music, food, vendors and a carnival.
The plug was pulled this year for the annual outing due to the recent rise in COVID-19 cases.
“We felt it was the safest and most responsible decision to wait for 2022 to make a big come back,” reads a Facebook post from the Copiague Chamber of Commerce, which runs the day.
