Fall’s Long Island Restaurant Week for 2022 runs from Nov 6 – 13

|

The dates for the huge fall edition of Long Island Restaurant Week are set.

The eight days of foodie fun will run from Sunday, Nov. 6, through Sunday, Nov. 13, all across Long Island.

Many restaurants will be offering the promotion for takeout, as well as indoor and outdoor dining.

In 2020, LI Restaurant Week was expanded with the goal of supporting restaurants in the midst of the COVID-19 crisis by offering more options to diners with varying budgets. These changes included price adjustments with an added lunch option and three price points for the dinner prix fixes.

The prices range from $27, $37, or $44 for a three-course dinner prix fixe, depending on the restaurant, with many $22 two-course lunch selections available, too.

“Restaurant Week is a win-win for the diners and restaurants,” said Nicole Castillo of Long Island Restaurant and Hospitality Group, which operates the tri-annual event.

The idea for restaurants is to lure in Long Islanders at an affordable price, with the idea that they’ll be returning for special occasions or future visits.

For the diners, it’s just just a great deal and an opportunity to samples places that might be currently out of budget.

“Restaurant weeks throughout the country have been successful for many years and Long Island is no different,” Castillo said.

And post-event surveys have been proving as much.

Restaurateurs have indicated that most have received an increase in sales and reservations, some up by 200 percent, according to the hospitality group. Midweek numbers for most restaurants shoot up from about 40 to 100 percent, and new customers range between 10 to 75 percent of diners.
