Rocky Point’s ‘tiny home’ back on the market; now asking for $290K

|

It’s back!

The tiny little home on Laurel Road in Rocky Point is again on the market. The listing was removed from the market on June 25 — the same day that Greater Long Island wrote a story highlighting the property.

Back then, the seller was asking $350,000 for two adjacent lots at 11 Laurel Road. One contains the small cottage and the other is .37 acres of vacant land. The realtor, Coldwell Banker, called the vacant land a piece of clay waiting to be molded into your “dream home.”

The property came back on the market on June 30 at $289,900 — a 17 percent markdown from the original asking price.

“Nestled in a serene and picturesque location, this property has a small cottage on it and also boasts an ADDITIONAL .37 acre parcel beside it totaling just shy of 3/4 acre between the 2 pieces!” reads the listing at Coldwell Banker.

“A possible subdivision could yield some beautiful new construction. Some of the land is cleared, some is wooded,” the listing continued.

Previously, the home was billed as ideal for “anyone looking to build their dream home and have a tiny home for guests or rental.”

The square footing is not listed for the cottage, which is habitable, with a cesspool, electric and municipal water.
