Babylon Village Chamber’s Chinese Auction happens March 11

|

One of the largest Chinese auction events in the local area is returning to The Piermont next month.

The Babylon Village Chamber of Commerce will be hosting its ninth annual Chinese Auction on Wednesday, March 11.

Last year was the outing’s first time at the waterside catering hall after years at the Babylon Village American Legion hall. The chamber moved to the bigger location as the event has grown in popularity each year.

“Last year we raised $16,000 for the chamber, so we are looking forward to hopefully raising even more,” said Kelly Peckholdt, head of the Babylon Village Chamber of Commerce.

This is the chamber’s only event of the year. The proceeds help fund the festivals the nonprofit runs in the village.

Admission is $15 and includes 25 raffle tickets, coffee, tea, and dessert. Tickets must be purchased in advance. The doors open at 6 p.m.

There will also be a cash bar and additional food available for purchase.
