Accounting firm Berrios & Associates is making moves — into Patchogue

|

A fast-growing accounting and advisory firm is making its way into downtown Patchogue.

Berrios & Associates has signed a lease for 1,521 square feet of office space at 7 Village Green in New Village, the $110 million mixed-use development built by TRITEC Real Estate Company.

The firm, founded in 1999 by Maureen Berrios, has long operated out of Medford. But with continued growth and a recent expansion into Florida, Berrios & Associates is shifting its headquarters to the heart of one of Long Island’s most walkable and vibrant downtowns, read a press announcement.

“We are thrilled to be part of the vibrant life that Patchogue offers,” said Thomas Puglia, chief operating officer at Berrios & Associates. “It’s truly a privilege to be part of such an energetic and welcoming place.”

Growing presence

Berrios & Associates is known for its work with medium to high-net-worth individuals, business owners and corporations across the U.S. and overseas, the announcement further reads. The team specializes in blending personal and corporate tax strategy, financial advisory services, and hands-on back-office support.

Their Patchogue office will offer everything from tax prep and payroll services to incorporations and strategic consulting.

“This lease reflects the continued success of Patchogue’s appeal as a destination for business, not just entertainment,” said Karen Shelhorse, vice president of TRITEC Asset Management. “The entire TRITEC team is proud to welcome Berrios & Associates to the community.”

New Village at Patchogue, completed in 2014, includes 291 apartments and over 46,000 square feet of restaurant and retail space.

It’s widely credited as being among Long Island’s first and most successful downtown revitalization projects.

“This lease marks a key milestone in the continued success of the project, bringing us one step closer to 100 percent occupancy,” said Maria Valanzano, senior managing director at Colliers, which helped broker the deal alongside Steven D’Orazio.
