The Hero Joint expands hours; here’s the top 3 sandwiches so far

|

The brand-new Hero Joint location in Bay Shore has just completed its first full month open downtown, across from St. Patrick’s Church.

And owner John Murray, III, also just announced The Hero Joint’s new, expanded hours.

“We are happy to say, we are now open seven days a week in Bay Shore from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.,” Murray said. “We cannot thank the greater Bay Shore community enough for all the support and, at times, patience as we adjust to what has truly been an overwhelming enthusiasm and demand.”

Murray also let us in on the new spot’s most popular sammiches since opening in late September.

With it being the fall, Murray also noted The Hero Joint’s award-winning Thanksgiving Chowder has also been popular. That’s a mix of gravy, stuffing and turkey topped with Craisins.

“It basically tastes like the puddle on your plate at the end of Thanksgiving dinner,” he said.
