This new Irish-American restaurant in Lindenhurst is kicking off summer with a block party.
Belfast Gastropub is hosting a Blue Point Block Party on June 19 from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.
“We just wanted to do something to bring back some normalcy and get everyone to socialize again,” said Bobby Fortier, co-owner of Belfast.
Located at 101 N. Wellwood Ave., the Celtic spot is closing off the street from the restaurant’s corner to the back parking lot on West Hoffman Avenue.
This allows people to roam around freely while enjoying $5 Blue Point beers right off the brewery’s Blue Point Boat Bar. There will also be music, BBQ food, cornhole, and more.

“We want to celebrate the neighborhood and bring people in from outside the neighborhood to find out what we’re doing here in Lindenhurst,” said Fortier. “We feel like Lindenhurst has been very good to us, taking us in with open arms.”
