‘Best Bang for the Buck’ list ranks St. Joseph’s among Top 10 Northeast colleges

|

Washington Monthly magazine has just released its annual (and widely distributed) Best Bang for the Buck Colleges rankings list for 2017, and St. Joseph’s College was ranked 9th among 385 schools in the Northeast.

St. Joseph’s, which has campuses in Patchogue and Brooklyn, was also ranked 77 on the list among 632 master’s programs in the nation.

Other Top 10 Northeast colleges included Harvard University (1), Rutgers (5) and CUNY John Jay College of Criminal Justice (7).

“This ranking is a validation of what all of us at St. Joseph’s College already know— that St. Joseph’s is a top choice for students seeking a superior return on their investment,” said the school’s new president, Donald R. Boomgaarden, who took the helm this summer. “Furthermore, it’s a tribute to the efforts of our outstanding faculty and staff and the success of our graduates.”

According to the magazine, the four-year colleges and universities are ranked on “the extent to which they charge students who aren’t rich a reasonable price for quality education that will advance them in their careers.”
