Bobbique in Patchogue is joining forces with Operation BBQ Relief and will be raising funds all month for Hurricane Harvey victims.

Throughout September, Bobbique will be donating $1 from every pulled pork sandwich sold, and $2 from every rack of ribs to help those affected by the storm.

Just $5 can feed 20 people in need after Harvey.

Operation BBQ Relief was founded in May 2011 in response to a need for relief efforts in tornado-stricken Joplin, Miss., a community of about 50,000 people.

Volunteers from competition BBQ teams from eight states answered the need to help feed displaced families, police, fire, National Guard and emergency personnel in Missouri.

Now they’re at it again after Hurricane Harvey struck the U.S.

Aside from the pulled pork sandwiches, proceeds during September event sales that involve Texas-based Austin Eastciders Tito’s Vodka and Shiner Beers, will also go to the relief efforts.

Bobbique has a goal of raising $10,000 to give to Operation BBQ Relief on behalf of them and the Village of Patchogue.

Please spread the word; Eat BBQ with a purpose.
