The rapidly growing, family-owned chain Burgerology is getting set to open a new location on the North Shore.
The Galatoulas family of Bellmore just signed a deal for their newest spot to open in Stony Brook within months, either late January or early February, the owners say.
(There’s also an express Burgerology getting set to open in Syosset.)
Principal owner Eddie Galatoulas, who grew up in Woodside, Queens, attributes his family’s success with Burgerology to serving fresh food that’s made to order in a family friendly environment.
“We’re hands on as a family, and our quality is very good,” Galatoulas said. “We care about what we give people to eat, and we’re always here.”
At the company’s heart are the made-to-order, special blend burgers that are often paired with craft beer or cocktails. People can build their own burgers (cooked to temperature) or choose from the Burgerology specialties.
That, and they try to establish a place that’s welcoming for everyone: high schoolers, college kids, children, moms, dads, and grandparents. There’s also vegan and vegetarian options they’re proud of.
Burgerology milkshakes are also known to light-up Instagram.
There are locations currently operating in in Astoria, Rockville Centre, Huntington and Patchogue. The new spot is opening in the vacant Anthony’s Coal Fired Pizza. The Galatoulas family just signed their lease Monday, Nov. 2.
