Calendar: Fourth of July will be popping in Patchogue and Bellport

|

Great Places | Scenes from July 4 morning in Patchogue Village

We’ve got another busy Fourth of July on tap for the Greater Patchogue area.

Bellport and Patchogue villages are both hosting big events on Independence Day, as they do every year.

One of the island’s best arts festivals, Artists on the Lane gets underway at 9 a.m. along Bellport Lane in the village, which is lined with tents from artists of all stripes, from painters to photographers to sculptors.

Artists on the Lane, organized by South Bay Art Association, runs until 4 p.m.

(See below where we featured five artists last summer.)

Also in Bellport, the Chamber of Commerce is setting up for sidewalk sales on Main Street.

In Patchogue Village, it’s the big Fourth of July Parade sponsored by the Patchogue Lions Club.

The parade starts at 10:30 a.m. at West Avenue and Main Street and continues east to Case Avenue and Main Street, about two blocks east of Route 112.

The Atlantic Community Band concert under the marquee will start outside Patchogue Theatre for Performing Arts at 10 a.m., according to the calendar.

Plan every weekend with the greaterpatchogue.com Great Events calendar!
