Cape Air will be flying Long Islanders to (and from) Boston 4X daily

|

Looking to head to Fenway Park or the Freedom Trail?

Or even just a business meeting?

Like clockwork, flights will soon be leaving Long Island en route to Boston Logan International Airport (BOS) four times daily.

That’s right, “daily.”

So reads an announcement from Islip Town, which manages MacArthur Airport (ISP) in Ronkonkoma.

Starting July 3, commuter airliner Cape Air will start ferrying folks from Long Island to New England — all day, every day, officials said.

The flights will take just under 90 minutes each way. Scroll down for the daily time schedule. According to an ISP spokesperson, one-way fares will start as low as $249 one way. Tap here to book.

The news comes a month after JetBlue called off planned ISP flights to Boston.

“We’ve had so much success bringing new airlines to Islip over the past several years and Long Island MacArthur Airport customers are enjoying the outcomes of the airport’s work with air service development,” said Town of Islip Supervisor Angie Carpenter. “When JetBlue decided to discontinue its plans to serve Boston as planned for the summer of 2025, we were disappointed on behalf of our customers.

“We’re glad to say Boston is back at ISP thanks to Cape Air with 4 times daily service and year-round flights.”

Cape Air, will bills itself as one of the largest commuter airlines in the country — serving 32 cities in the U.S. and the Caribbean — will use gate B15 in the central terminal, airport officials said.

“Cape Air recognized an opportunity to expand its wings in the Northeast from convenient MacArthur Airport. We’re delighted to offer business travelers an excellent schedule and frequency to easily fly to Boston,” said Rob Schneider, MacArthur’s aviation commissioner.

Cape Air will fly the new Tecnam P2012 Traveller on the route, “offering passengers a modern, stylish, and highly capable twin-engine aircraft perfect for connecting short hops to Boston,” the announcement reads.

“We look forward to connecting Islip with Boston and sharing Cape Air’s outstanding customer service and convenient flight schedules,” said Linda Markham, Cape Air’s president and CEO. “We are confident that this innovative aircraft will provide an exceptional flying experience for our passengers and the communities we serve.

“We look forward to seeing the P2012 Traveller inaugurate our service at Long Island MacArthur Airport.”
