It’s been 125 years since the Incorporated Village of Patchogue became, well, incorporated.

To mark its 50th anniversary, villagers took to Patchogue’s famous Four Corners at Main Street and Ocean Avenue in 1943 to pose for a 360-degree panoramic image.

Then to mark Patchogue’s centennial in 1993, they did it again.

But much has changed in the past 25 years, and the village didn’t let its 125th anniversary go by without taking to the streets a third time.

Photographer Benny Migliorino of Benny Migs Photo ran the day’s events and captured the 360-degree image you see below.

Migliorino stood on a platform in the middle of the intersection and used a special tripod bracket to take six shots that he later stitched together seamlessly.

Migliorino approached the village about four years ago saying he wanted to recreate the locally iconic 1943 and 1993 photographs.

He thought it would be especially cool to capture the recent physical changes that have happened in Patchogue since he moved here 10 years ago.

“And I wanted to be a part of history,” he said. “Patchogue history.”
